African Reed Thatch

Description

Tubular African reeds native to South Africa are dipped and hand glued to a rigid but flexible, heavy-duty urethane binder. Our African reed thatch panels create a visual impact through the variations of mahogany, mocha, beige, burnt orange, green, and butterscotch colors found throughout the reeds. The thickness of the panels provides a distinct, stepped appearance when installed on a roof, umbrella, or palapa and also allows the material to fare well in damp, moist climates. Easy to install, African reed panels are installed as simply as a typical roof shingle.

Fire Protection

BYXS Commercial offers several solutions to achieve Class-A Fire rating and will discuss your application and product finishes to determine which solution integrates best with the finished assembly. All Class-A Fire Ratings are accompanied by proper documentation to certify that the product that has been treated correctly. This certificate will include the volume and type of coverage, project name and ownership information, thus taking the guesswork of being “passable” out of the equation.
