Composed of the leaves of palm trees, Fuji or Palm thatch is the most sought after thatch type amongst Architect’s, Designer’s, hospitality and zoo’s to create an authentic environment. Considering the density and thickness of our Fiji thatch panels, they are ideal for structures such as umbrella’s and canopies without a subroof as water is less likely to permeate.
Fiji thatch performs best in dry, warm climates with a life span of 4-5 years. Easy to install, Fiji thatch panels are installed as simply as typical roof shingle.

Tahitian Thatch Appearance

Green, grey, beige.
Colors will vary slightly based on environmental factors and fade with sun exposure.

Fire Protection For Tahitian Thatch

BYXS Commercial offers several solutions to achieve Class-A Fire rating and will discuss your application and product finishes to determine which solution integrates best with the finished assembly. All Class-A Fire Ratings are accompanied by proper documentation to certify that the product that has been treated correctly. This certificate will include the volume and type of coverage, project name and ownership information, thus taking the guesswork of being “passable” out of the equation.

Durability
